Advice from Dr. Sheri Colberg-Ochs about insulin and weight gain. It sounds like she is stating the obvious, but there are a lot of misconceptions about insulin and weight gain and her article will help clarify things.

She says:

” It is my personal experience that regular exercise is the best way to prevent insulin-induced weight gain, but your insulin doses will also need to be adjusted downward to prevent low blood sugars that cause you to take in extra calories to treat them.”
